You were more than a guidance, a mentor and a refugee for difficult situations. You really became a role model with your determination, insight and work ethic; with your innovative ideas, your restless spirit and your willingness to offer help. And certainly this will remain so. You are and you will remain a role model, a constant source of inspiration.
The adaptive optics community will miss you. Science as a whole will miss you.
I am pretty sure you will not rest a bit.
